wow, it's been a long time...  My friend Dave from Seattle left me a comment recently, encouraging me to update my xanga site.  The last time I posted something was last year!  Well, since then, I've moved back to California and I'm enjoying the quiet life of Simi Valley.  I rejoined my old animation studio (July Films) and we just finished production on the Curious George Movie.  It's supposed to come out in theatres next February.  You can see the trailer here:

http://www.curiousgeorgemovie.com

I did some of the animation and painted some of the backgrounds in the trailer.  Should be cool to see it on the big screen.  Other than that, things have been going well.  I'm back at my home church and really loving it.  I joined staff for our college ministry and soon I think I'll be working with our pastor who wants to start up a creative arts ministry.

Xanga, xanga, xanga.... I'm really not good at keeping up with online blogs but we'll see how this goes.

I'm in Hawaii now. Tomorrow I'm going to wake up at 5:00 in the morning to go walking with my dad. He had a heart attack a few months ago so he tries to exercise more now. I'm out of shape so I hope I can keep up with him. After that, I'm going to visit New Hope Christian Fellowship, Wayne Cordeiro's Church.

The weather here is really nice and it's great to be with family and old friends again. Have a great Holidays everyone!

My brain is overloaded and I'm so exhausted... I don't think I have the energy to continue my previous post. But here's something that me and Joe have been thinking about:

At most, I'll live till I'm 80, give or take ten years. (this is all God willing of course) So based on that, I'll see Jesus in roughly 50 years! That brought me much comfort today, just excited by the fact that I'll see Him soon. 50 years isn't that long. When I meditate on that, I realize even more that I need to be wise about how I use my time. Everyday given to us is a gift from the Lord.

No time to waste.

Jesus, you are King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.
and I am Procrastinator of Procrastinators.
I have to get moving!

12 days left until Hawaii...

When I get back to LA in January, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I just talked with my old boss and there won't be any work until March or April. So at the moment, I don't have any job lined up yet. I'd really like to take a break from art though. I've been drawing for 26 years now and I could use some R&R.

So we'll see what happens. I'm continuing to pray about all of this and I know that God will lead me to where he wants me to be. Proverbs 3:5-6.

Last wednesday, I gave my testimony at a college fellowship and it went well I think. I always get nervous before speaking but once I start talking it's okay. After the fellowship, we met this guy named Josh. Two years ago, he sold everything that he had so that he could live on the streets to preach to people all day. Amazing. We had dinner with him and he told us many of his stories. When we were about to leave, this event happened:

We were all talking about going bowling and hanging out for a little bit. Then Josh said, "anyone wanna go witnessing?" Dead silence. It was a very sincere question and I know my heart was pierced by it. I think I'll always remember that moment. How can you compare the two; bowling and evangelizing? I knew that God had given us a huge oppurtunity and I didn't want to pass it up. So we went with Josh, walking down the street and sharing God's Word where we could. We talked to one man who was very polite. Joe shared the gospel with him and he said that he just needed time to think about things. We were only out there for a little while but how exciting it was! I can't describe the feeling, just so much joy in knowing that God's Word was being spread and seeds were being planted. We ended the night in prayer and Josh continued on.

I'm really sleepy but there's more I'd like to share. I'll try to do that tomorrow...

You HAVE TO listen to this sermon on Evangelism and the Gospel!! Joe and I just heard it and we were so moved by it that we're writing to everyone that we know, right now. The preacher is Ray Comfort and his sermon can be found at:

http://www.livingwaters.com/listenwatch.shtml

It's called, "Hell's Best Secret." Ray Comfort talks about the Law; how God uses it to break the proud and convict the sinner. He mentions that a trend in modern day evangelism is to shy away from God's judgement and only talk of God's grace and love. I don't do the sermon justice at all by sharing here. Please take the time to listen to it!! And after hearing the sermon, if you feel the same leading as I do, please share this with everyone that you know, and then lets go out and carry the good news. :)
